UI/UX Design Workshop Programs

Design workshop environment showing collaborative learning space

What you'll actually learn

The program covers everything from foundational interface principles to advanced prototyping techniques. You'll work with real design tools, solve actual interface problems, and build a portfolio that demonstrates practical competence. Each module is structured around hands-on assignments where you apply concepts immediately rather than just memorizing theory.

We focus on skills that matter in day-to-day design work. That means understanding user behavior patterns, creating functional wireframes, building interactive prototypes in Figma, and presenting design decisions clearly. The assignments mirror real project scenarios so you develop instincts for common challenges like balancing business requirements with user needs.

Design Principles and Visual Hierarchy

  • Core visual design principles applied to digital interfaces
  • Typography systems for web and mobile applications
  • Color theory with practical accessibility considerations
  • Layout composition and spatial relationships
  • Building consistent design systems from scratch

Understanding Users Through Research

  • Conducting effective user interviews and surveys
  • Creating personas based on actual research data
  • User journey mapping for different scenarios
  • Competitive analysis with actionable insights
  • Translating research findings into design requirements

Creating Functional Interfaces

  • Wireframing techniques from low to high fidelity
  • Navigation patterns and information architecture
  • Form design with clear validation and feedback
  • Mobile-first responsive design strategies
  • Accessibility standards implementation

Interactive Prototypes in Figma

  • Advanced Figma techniques and component systems
  • Creating realistic interactions and micro-animations
  • Building reusable design components
  • Prototype testing with actual users
  • Developer handoff documentation

How the workshops are structured

Assignment-driven practice

Every session includes specific tasks to complete. You'll design actual interfaces, conduct real user research, and create working prototypes. The emphasis is on producing work you can use in your portfolio rather than passive learning.

Collaborative feedback

Regular design critiques where you present your work and receive detailed feedback. You'll also review other participants' projects, developing the ability to articulate design decisions and identify improvements.

Live tool demonstrations

Watch experienced designers work through real problems using Figma, Miro, and other standard tools. These sessions show actual workflows rather than idealized tutorials, including common mistakes and how to fix them.

Practical case studies

Analyze real projects from companies across different industries. See what worked, what didn't, and why certain design decisions were made. These examples provide context for applying principles to your own work.

Progress tracking

Each module builds on previous skills with clear milestones. You'll see your capabilities expand through completed projects and can measure improvement against specific competencies needed for design roles.

Direct instructor access

Ask questions during sessions and get responses between workshops. Instructors review your assignments individually and provide specific guidance on areas where you need additional practice or clarification.

Program progression over 12 weeks

01
Weeks 1-3

Core principles, design thinking fundamentals, and initial Figma proficiency. First portfolio pieces created.

02
Weeks 4-6

User research methods applied to real scenarios. Persona development and journey mapping with actual research data.

03
Weeks 7-9

Interface design execution from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups. Responsive design patterns and accessibility integration.

04
Weeks 10-12

Advanced prototyping with interactions and animations. Final project completion with full presentation and documentation.

Next cohort starts in 2025

Spaces are limited to maintain quality feedback and individual attention. If you're ready to commit time to structured practice and want to build design skills through actual project work, this program provides the framework and guidance to do that.
